WELL!  It's been quite sometime since I have blogged on this page.  Let me just update you and then REDIRECT you to my new blog.

In April of 2012 I asked for a divorce.  I was divorced June 6, 2012 and that's all I am going to say about that.

I am now blogging again and I found a renewed joy in blogging about random things as usually.  Life has no rhyme reason, so why should my blog.  If I want to blog about my family I will.  If I want to blog about skin care well woot! If I want to share a silly video then more power to me.  Please enjoy my new blog and share it with any friends that you feel could benefit from my randomness.

ENJOY  http://www.savvymommah.com and it should have a link that will take you to my blog on blogger.

I hope to see you there.

Ok so I have been doing the vinyl cutouts and decorating anything I can sticker. I have made several people cups and now I am ready to take it step further. I opened an Etsy store last night. I am so excited. So, now here is my link to my projects I make and sell. No stress, because I have absolutely enjoyed watching these projects come to life in something fun.

Summer Update 2011

It's been quite a while! I haven't cut coupons, but I have been busy with family on vacations. We recently went to Disney, Sea World, and spent time at a fabulous resort in Orlando. It was a nice stress free vacation plus some great rides at the parks.
I also, recently redid my two sons rooms. The oldest has been wanting his own room for quite some time now and I redid the room they had together for the youngest. I did it on less than 300 and just updated and moved furniture. Voila! it's great. I have yet to stickers some sayings on the wall, but that will be a work in progress. The oldest will be going to the playroom where I am slowing redoing furniture and rearranging things to fit in that room better. I cleaned out three closets as well. I still need to work on the guest bedroom, but I really need to wait for the Trash Day so I can haul all this stuff to the curb. Oh my it's a ton of stuff we really didn't need.

Disney: If you are military always ask for discounts. You never know, but restaurants and stores tend to offer a discount to military. So, just ask! Disney is running a great deal on Park Tickets and Sea World as well. Check their websites for details.

TIP FOR TARGET!!!! Target has a red card you can get that is a DEBIT CARD. Not a credit card and it links directly to your bank account. When you use this debit for purchases you get 5% off your entire purchase. PLUS they donate 1% to your school of choice. Try using this along with your mobile coupons on your phone and receive instant savings on Target groceries or purchases. If you have great tips or ideas I am all ears and would love to share.

Auburn is going to the SEC Championship!

Wow! Who would have thought? I am just glad they made it and I am truly excited for the Tigers, especially since we are new Tiger fans ourselves. Here are some pictures from this years game we saw in Jordan O'Hare Stadium. Auburn was playing UMC and creamed them of course.

Almost Thanksgiving!!!!

Ok so, it is almost Thanksgiving Day!!! Whooo hOoo. Lots of Turkey and Ham and other southern foods I absolutely love to eat one day a year.
Ok, it's not just about the food it's also about "Black Friday" the one time a year where I can find unheard of deals just in time for Christmas. Not every year has been great, but I stay pretty optimistic about things I can find. Here is the retailers who have listed their BF items as of lately. Keep checking for online deals as well and click on the link for online coupon codes.

http://bfads.net/ <<<---- List of adds. Target and some other retailers will not release until a few days before.

If you are going to get a Thanksgiving Day paper you will need to get up early and run to the news paper stands early. They go fast in higher poplulated areas so I have discovered in several cities we have lived in.

Well good luck and maybe you can start planning early or do what I do and make your list after you eat.

GOOD LUCK!

We have a new guinea pig named Maverick. He needed a new home and we wanted something cute and furry. The boys love him and he is so good with the kids. Even Bella is trying to be very careful around Maverick.

Getting ready for back to school

Back to School Deals I found:

Gymboree.com just sent me a 20% of entire order in store and online as well. If you haven't received it go to Gymboree.com and sign up to receive notices.

I just got my Gap shirts I ordered online last week. I took advantage of their $5.00 shipping and got 5 shirts. I probably could have got the same deal in the store, but probably not as good of selection. I went to our Gap Kids over in Bridge Street here and didn't find any of the shirts they had online and they were not on sale. So, going online was definitely worth it.

Also, Gymboree has a sister site that runs great deals with a low $5.00 shipping as well. It's called crazy8's.com. It's worth a try if you are looking for quality clothes and bargain prices.

Ok here is my Old Navy rant for my shopping experience there. I got a great deal on jeans for the kids and track pants, BUT their shirts are horrible. The prints didn't appeal to either one of my boys and they looked like gang shirts. Maybe it was just our Old Navy, but we were not impressed with the selection of styles. Maybe we were late and it was picked over too good.

Looking ahead on how to start the school year:
I did get all of the boys school supplies and have them separated and ready to hall down to the school for supply drop off day next week. The boys are super excited about going back to school and can't wait. I plan on keeping the boys super busy with sports and after school activities to help us with the coming year without dad for a year. Sean has decided to play soccer and Colin will be gearing up for the spring season by keeping his bat warm for some fall baseball. My family will be coming first with our activities and my job's after work hour activities will have to just understand.

I will be performing with a former student and his family as they share a tribute of music to a loved one who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I am enjoying practicing the music for that and looking forward to a great rehearsal for that this week. This next spring IMP will be doing the musical Rent here in town. Auditions are in November and I will be contemplating auditioning for that one. December I will be singing the soprano solos in the communities Messiah sing along that is performed every year for Christmas. I was honored to receive and email inviting me to sing that great Choral Masterwork. I haven't sung the Messiah solos in over ten years, so I will be practicing quite a bit. That will also mean I will be raising my voice less and less to the kids at school.

I am working on a project for Ryan that will allow him to see photos of us whenever he wants to see us. I am also working on catching up on some photo albums on shutterfly.com. I absolutely love the high tech scrapping booking. It's so easy to upload and let them make my books look beautiful. I also dug out our photos of our wedding way back when. They are so simple and nothing fancy. We do have a few dramatic ones that a local photographer did for us as a wedding present.
